About Saturation Adjuster
Saturation controls how far each pixel's color sits from its gray equivalent. Above 100% colors push toward vivid; below 100% they retreat toward neutral; 0% removes color entirely and produces a grayscale result. The slider works over a live preview, and 100% is always the untouched original.
Toning saturation down is often the more valuable direction: phone cameras and re-shared images frequently arrive oversaturated, and pulling the slider to 90–95% restores natural skin tones and brand colors. Raising saturation suits muted product or travel shots — in small steps, because skin turns sunburned long before a landscape looks rich.
Saturation changes color intensity only; exposure and tonal separation belong to the Brightness Adjuster and Contrast Adjuster. For deliberate monochrome, the Grayscale Image tool applies proper luma weighting instead of the neutral gray this slider reaches at 0%.
