Region blur keeps a photo usable while removing what should not be public: faces of bystanders, license plates, addresses on a delivery label, or a token visible in a screenshot. Blur the full image when context does not matter, or draw one or more rectangles over exactly the sensitive areas and leave the rest untouched.
Regions are fully editable — move, resize, add or delete them, and set the blur strength per result. The export flattens everything into a new file: the blurred areas cannot be restored from the download, and the original never leaves your device.
For text, blur hides content by scattering it, but de-blurring tools can sometimes recover sharp text from a light blur. When redacting passwords, keys or personal identifiers in screenshots, use a higher radius or the Pixelate Image tool, which destroys the detail structurally.
